Decoupling

Easily solve cracks and contamination by using a decoupling system

Sometimes a surface is in such a poor condition that it is not actually possible or worthwhile to clean or repair it. With uncoupling foil or uncoupling mats as an intermediate layer, you can lay down the perfect subfloor on which you can immediately build your top layer.

Decoupling foil as a clean surface

Uncoupling foil and uncoupling mats actually do exactly the same thing, but in slightly different situation and can be a ‘go-to’ solution when priming alone is not sufficient. Uncoupling methods are ideally suited when all kinds of contaminants on the floor negatively affect the adhesion, cannot be removed, and a primer alone cannot bring about a solution. The foil mats will then completely seal the surface and provide a new clean area. Tip: Tape the edges and edges to prevent mortar leaks.

Uncoupling mats separate the top layer free from the substrate.

In a floor where cracking occurs, there is always the risk that it will continue upwards into the finishing layer. Thanks to uncoupling mats, the surface layer can move freely in relation to the top layer. A renovation mortar is usually laid over these mats,

meaning the structure is then so strong that cracks cannot spread upwards. We have ensured that you do not have to look for a mat supplier, because uncoupling mats are included in our range. Tested and proven together with the supplier in combination with our products and in countless different applications.
