Applying facing bricks

Make sure to use all the advantages of bonding facing bricks

Creating colour-intensive facade surfaces with a stone that stands out and an adhesive choice of more than twenty colours: that is great bonding! In addition, a bonded facade is three times stronger than bricks with traditional masonry or thin mortars, but you can also take other excellent properties of our constructive adhesives into account when planning your work. The adhesive mortar hardens within 24 hours, allowing you to put the layers together more quickly: this increases the daily production. The higher strength of the bonded bricks mean that it can be used constructively in the form of larger spans above openings and slimmer facade constructions. At the same time, there are no limits to the types and shapes of bricks you can use: all types of bricks can be bonded, from hand-molded bricks and machine molded bricks to extruded bricks. There are differences, for example in suction. We therefore have different types of adhesive mortar in our range, so that you always achieve the optimal result.

A bonded facade fits in with sustainable building.

By choosing to bond facing bricks, you also have a strong sustainable story. For example, you use much less product with bonding than with bricklaying; This also means less construction waste and therefore disposal costs. In addition, the adhesive can be recycled together with the stone at the end of the building's lifespan. This method also makes a difference in terms of energy savings. The strength of the adhesive makes it possible to bond thinner bricks, freeing up more space in the cavity for insulation. This way you can give your client or yourself an interesting choice: insulate up to 4 cm extra in the cavity or gain up to 16 cm extra living space!
