Preparing the surface

Priming will give you a successful outcome for plasterwork.

Plasterers will always use a quality plaster primer before starting any plastering project. By using the right primer, you reduce the porosity of the surface and achieve better adhesion. This means that the plaster layer remains firmly in place and does not come loose.

A primer for the perfect build-up from the ground up

Many surfaces have irregularities, such as small holes, cracks, or other imperfections. By treating the surface with a primer before applying leveling mortar or repair mortar, you can build a perfect structure from the ground up. The quality of your first layer will even have a direct effect on the application of the leveling mortar, which then flows much more easily on application.

Prime for special surfaces

In addition, using the right primer can also help neutralize absorbent surfaces. Some materials, such as sand-lime brick, etc., are naturally absorbent and can draw moisture from the plaster layer. This may lead to uneven drying of the plaster and possibly even to cracking.
