Bonding tiles

Pay attention to the differences in substrate and tiles.

One surface is not the same as the other. One tile is not the same as another. Before you choose your tile adhesive, it's important to know exactly what you're tiling. A ceramic tile or natural stone? Small mosaic mats or XXL tiles/slabs? We have some general tips for you for all tiling applications.

Match tile adhesive to substrate

You undoubtedly know that with underfloor heating you have to pay close attention to the risks of shrinkage, poor performance and less adhesion. Wall heating is also increasingly being used, especially in bathrooms and wellness areas, for example. Exactly the same applies. Look carefully at the surface you are dealing with, because the surface and type of tile ultimately determines the choice of a type of adhesive.

Ready-mixed Adhesive or Powder Adhesive

Sometimes a wall tile can be applied to the wall with a ready-mixed tile adhesive, while a floor tile is better adhered to the wall with a powder adhesive. In a rush? Then grab one of our faster drying tile adhesives. Consider a shop floor or stairwell that must be quickly accessible after application, or that quick repair job at the end of the day.
