Reinforcing

Sustainable renovation: reinforcing wooden floors

A lot of older houses have wooden floors or beams. Underfloor heating is increasingly being installed during renovation or during conversions. Before you prepare the floor for this type of application, reinforcement is required first for extra load-bearing capacity.

Sufficiently stable thanks to a sound reinforcement system

In connection with sustainability and now building standards, many local authorities, housing associations and other real estate owners are renovating their rental properties. This also applies to many private individuals who own a home. Not every wooden surface is in the same condition: some may be affected by wood rot; others still look like new. The following applies to both: wooden surfaces must be sufficiently stable and separated from the final surface by decoupling membrane, and when required, have a suitable reinforcement system.

Renovation mortars for new floors

There are various reinforcement systems that can give the original floor its original strength. A renovation mortar can give an old floor the strength and rigidity it needs. Together with suppliers of studded flooring panels,

we offer a combination of safe solutions for all kinds of floor problems with a mixture of both products and warranty. Our mortars can also have a minimal pour for a beautifully thin floor but still with strong properties.
