Omnicol receives EcoVadis Sustainability Silver Medal

We are proud to announce: the EcoVadis Sustainability Silver Medal. Proof that Omnicol ranks among the top 25 percent of companies assessed by the international EcoVadis standard for corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

International sustainability standards
No less than 21 aspects were considered in Omnicol's rigorous assessment. Divided into four main areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The methodology is based on international sustainability standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000. In addition, there is a scientific committee of CSR and supply chain experts.

"More than 100,000 companies have already been assessed in over 175 countries and in more than 200 sectors. Being among the top-performing companies is an important recognition of Omnicol's commitment to conducting its activities in a sustainable manner," says Gerrit Jonker, Omnicol's director. "Of course, it doesn't stop here. We continue to challenge ourselves and our partners to further enhance sustainability. For example, in the coming period, we will focus on using even more recycled materials in PE packaging, reducing the use of wrapping films, and adopting HVO diesel for our transportation."

The certification is particularly important for anyone using Omnicol products. Increasingly, clients demand recognizable attention to sustainability in bids, both from yourself and from your suppliers like Omnicol. Product Marketing Manager Roy van Gorkom says, "Thanks to the EcoVadis Sustainability Silver Medal, you can demonstrate that you are working with a partner who constantly considers the impact of its actions on people, the environment, and well-being. From an inclusive work atmosphere within the company to reducing CO2 emissions."
