FLEX+ omnibind
Adjuvants
Applications
As a primer
Fast-drying primer for use on porous and sealed surfaces. Its special composition and highly liquid nature result in a short drying time, even on smooth concrete and existing tiling. The product is ready to use and can also be diluted for use on absorbent surfaces.
As a bonding bridge
FLEX+ omnibind forms an adhesive bridge between cincrete and cement scrededs. Ideal for smooth surfaces ans increases the shear tensile strength.
As a mortar finish
It can be used as an adjuvant in cement mortar mixing water, in order to make it dry more quickly (30-50% faster than normal), and makes cement screeds shrink slightly. This makes it especially suitable for floors with underfloor heating or if a shorter screed drying time is required. When added to the mortar or coating, it increases its shear strength and adhesion, making it suitable for use in areas affected by heavy vibrations, industrial traffic, chemical products, frost or the maritime climate. The product has a plasticising effect and reduces the water/cement factor.
As mixing liquid for 2C R Omnibind
Combining 2C R omnibind with FLEX+ omnibind produces a stress distribution membrane for any (heated) surfaces that may expand, leading to possible deformations (shrinkage, creep and slight flexion). For further details, see the “2C R omnibind” product sheet.
As mixing liquid for cement-based powder tile adhesive
- Product designed to make powder tile adhesive more flexible, adhesive and watertight
- For use on heavy duty ceramic tile and natural stone floors, as well as environments subject to intense mechanical stress and vibrations (platforms, tunnels, etc.)
- For the application of tiles to critical and deformable indoor surfaces: water-resistant multiplex, fibro-cement board, fibre plasterboard (white powder adhesive)
- For the application of (custom-made) large format ceramic and natural stone tiles to façades, balconies and terraces, which are exposed to direct sunlight and subject to temperature variations
- For the application of stain sensitive natural stone (white powder adhesive) Test before use.
- For the outdoor application of SC omnimat and accessories.

Why should I apply a sealant?
Sealing materials are applied in places or spaces where one wants to prevent the effects of use from spreading to adjacent spaces, such as moisture in a bathroom.
Should I dilute primer?
Omnicol supplies ready-to-use primers that do not need to be diluted. Open the packaging, stir, and you're ready to go. Only the suction-reducing plaster primer ZV (FIX+ R and FLEX+ are also dilutable) omnibind can be adjusted to the suction of the substrate by dilution.
How much primer do I need?
Unfortunately, there is no definitive answer to this. Consumption depends heavily on the function for which the primer is applied and the substrate on which it is applied. The consumption of a primer applied to reduce suction on a porous substrate will be considerably higher than that of a bonding-promoting primer on a closed substrate. Our indicative consumption calculator is a useful tool to help you with this.
